He has over 30 years experience at both Executive and Non-Executive level with both public and private firms and has a lead role in lecturing on the professional training courses provided by Birmingham City University for the Institute of Internal Auditors - UK and Ireland and the Institute of Risk Management. He also holds a leading role in the development of MSc courses in Audit Management and Risk Management.
Market Risk - Kam Pouyamajd - Head of Portfolio Analytics and Risk at Bloomberg for Europe and MESA. Mr. Pouyamajd has extensive experience in the market, working as a Global Performance Manage for Credit Suisse Asset Management, a Performance Team Manager at BNP Securities Services and as Head of Performance Measurement for Threadneedle Asset Management
Debt and Central Banks - Prof. Vito Spada - Prof. Spada is a Senior Executive Banker with more than 28 years experience managing International Banks and in particular an expert on Portfolio and Risk Management at corporate level for Italian banking institutions in Europe, Asia, USA and Italy. He has been a visiting professor of Banking & Finance at the University of Bari and Florence, where he lectured on Corporate Finance. Since 2008, he is a Professor of Banking and Finance at the Universita` del Salento in Lecce.

MARM – The Malta Association of Risk Management was formally launched at a National Conference on Risk Management held at the Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, Malta on the 30th March 2012.
The conference brought together 96 delegates from the private sector, and the public sector, including representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister, the banking, financial and insurance sectors, the audit and accountancy sectors as well as from the manufacturing and services industries.

The Government of Belgium has appointed Marie Gemma Dequae, scientific advisor to the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) and a past president of the federation, as an independent director of Dexia Bank Belgium and its subsidiary Dexia Insurance Belgium.
Marie Gemma will be a keynote speaker at the forthcoming launch event of the Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM) which is going to be held during a half day conference on the 30th March 2012 at the Dolmen Hotel, Qawra. Other speakers include Jorge Luzzi, President of FERMA and Group Risk Management Director for Pirelli worldwide, Executive Director of Pirelli Insurance and Reinsurance Company in Dublin, Ireland, and Managing Director of Pirelli Group Reinsurance in Switzerland.
