MARM promotes, advances and encourages the knowledge and use of risk management within the private and public sectors in the Maltese Islands.
The Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM) wishes to serve as the official representative of the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) in Malta.
Established in 2011, MARM was founded to promote and represent the risk management profession in Malta. In 2022, the Malta Association of Compliance Officers formally merged with MARM, further strengthening its multidisciplinary reach.
MARM maintains strategic collaborations with several reputable institutions, including the Department of Insurance and Risk Management at the University of Malta, the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA), the International Compliance Association (ICA – UK), and the Strategic Risk Leaders Association in Europe (SRLA). Locally, MARM works closely with educational and professional bodies such as the Malta Insurance Training Centre, Malta Insurance Managers Association, Malta Insurance Institute, Malta Stock Exchange Training Institute, and the Institute of Financial Services.
Through these partnerships, MARM aims to promote awareness, deliver professional training, and share insights on the evolving challenges facing the risk and compliance professions.

FERMA
The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) brings together 23 risk management associations in 22 European countries. They represent nearly 5,000 professional risk managers active in a wide range of business sectors. FERMA acts on their behalf at European level and promotes the risk management profession. Department of Insurance and Risk Management at the University of Malta
The Department of Insurance and Risk Management at the University of Malta, part of the esteemed Faculty of Economics, Management, and Accountancy (FEMA), is Malta’s premier institution for insurance and risk management education.
