The Future of ERM

MARM is invited to contribute to the consultation on FERMA’s discussion paper on the future of ERM by Monday 30 June 2025.

In April, FERMA’s ERM Committee has released ‘Shaping the Future: the Crucial Role of the Corporate Risk Manager‘ a discussion paper highlighting the challenges preventing risk managers from achieving their full potential in a fast-changing, interconnected world. It also sets out FERMA’s initial ideas for how these challenges might be addressed.

The ERM Committee will publish a white paper with concrete guidance in Q4 2025, building on the discussion paper. This upcoming white paper also aims to create recommended European standards for the profession, with the aim of harmonizing definitions and practices across countries and organisations, as well as achieving greater recognition of the added value of Risk Managers at EU and national levels.

Considering the importance of this project for the whole profession, we need your feedback for our recommendations to correspond to the actual needs and positions of the risk management community.
